Project Size: ~650 SF
Flow is an addition and reconfiguration of space to a mid-twentieth century home for a family of young professionals with two young children. The goal for this project was to open the living space to encourage family interaction and guest entertainment centering around the client's enjoyment of cooking. A structural exterior wall was replaced with an in-ceiling beam to connect the reconfigured kitchen with the new sunroom and breakfast nook. Contemporary maple cabinets, quartz countertops, and a walnut and frosted glass island brighten the space and support multiple functions. A large east facing window and north facing french door frame views of the deep backyard and access the private family patio. Operable clerestory strip windows bring natural southern light into the interior.
