(2010)(unbuilt project)
Weathers Permitting proposes an event / gathering space created by a field of wooden visor forms, each a different articulation of a “wood deck” surface. This entry for the Museum of Modern Art’s Young Architects Program works to create a constructed terrain out of wood that seeks to interact with the environment through geometric inflections. Through these operations, the terrain shades users, creates seating, provides pools, harvests rainwater, and immerses users in a variable experience through adjusted density of physical forms.
